Southern Gospel Revival Music

A modern take on traditional Southern Gospel Music.

Southern Gospel Music Revival

Some of my favorite music is southern gospel music and even better when country or bluegrass is involved.  When I was growing up, we had sings at the church that would go on and on.  A good time of faith and fellowship was had by all.

I discovered these songs not too long ago on YouTube and listen to them on a regular basis.  Musicians from different genres, styles and bands came together to record these songs.  They were recorded live and all in one take!

The Modern Trade website states:

“Each song was handpicked by each artist with complete freedom given to them for how they wanted to perform it. The arrangements were done on the day of recording, with each member of the band contributing to how they wanted the song to sound. It is a true effort of creativity, friendship and love of the craft of music.”

The harmony these folks have together is amazing.  Take a break, sit down and listen to this music.  You just might find yourself tapping your foot and clapping your hands to a few of these songs.  Hallelujah, Amen!  Enjoy!
