Where to Find Bargain Christian Books
Sharing my tips on finding Christian books at bargain prices.
Don’t you love finding books at bargain prices? Sister, I’m a rather (obsessively) thrifty person and save money anywhere I can.
I want to share my tips for finding good deals on Christian books (or any books for that matter). I’m not talking about e-books, although some of you may prefer that. I like a hard copy of a book so I can write in and highlight all I want!
In Person Shopping
1
Library Bookstore
Check out your local library bookstore. Mine has a great selection and even a free table (most books are $1.00 or $2.00 and sometimes they have them half price of that).
2
Ollie’s
A great store for bargains if you have one near you. I’ve found several Christian books at Ollie’s as well as several nice spiral-bound journals at 2.99 each)..
3
Hobby Lobby
Although Hobby Lobby doesn’t have a huge selection, they always offer 40% off the retail price of the books they sell.
4
Ross
I saw several devotionals and journals at Ross recently. You could probably check TJ Maxx and Burlington too.
5
Local Used Bookstore
Check around to see if you have any used bookstores in your area. If not, look for them when you’re out of town.
6
Thrift Stores, Garage Sales, Estate Sales and Antique Stores
Saved the best in-person for last! You never know what you’ll find out galavanting around town. I can’t begin to tell you how many books I’ve found on our “fun” days going to these sales.
Online Shopping
1
BrightLight Books
I’m blessed to have this fabulous store close to me, but their books and other items can be ordered online as well. Their books are at reduced prices and the website states the condition of the books so you know about that before ordering. They offer all sorts of books and have a large selection of Christian books, devotionals, Bibles, studies, etc. They have music CD’s too. BrightLight Books link (click here).
2
AbeBooks
I’ve placed multiple orders with them and only had one issue. The book they sent was supposed to be in better condition than I received and they sent another and told me to keep the first one they sent that was marked up. AbeBooks link (click here).
3
Christianbook
They sometimes have sales of popular titles and offer free shipping when you order a certain amount. Christianbook link (click here).
4
ThriftBooks
Although I’ve never ordered from this company, I have seen them come up in my searches. ThriftBooks link (click here).
5
Amazon
And of course, Amazon is always an option when a book is reduced, but I’ll usually only order from them if I can’t find a bargain somewhere else!
Let me know if there’s anywhere else you find Christian books and journals at bargain prices.
Happy Book Shopping!
