Bluegrass Gospel Music

A little bluegrass gospel for you by Darin & Brooke Aldridge

Bluegrass Gospel Music

Bluegrass is one of my favorite forms of music, especially when we can see the performers live.  One of my favorite bluegrass duos is Darin & Brooke Aldridge from North Carolina. They are an award-winning Americana/Country/Bluegrass duo that has toured the world and played the Opry over 50 times.

We first saw Darin & Brooke several years ago at Shindig on the Green in Asheville.  Their voices blend together in beautiful harmony.  I’ll tell you, the first time I heard Darin, he reminded me so much of my favorite singer of all time, Vince Gill.

Darin & Brooke have been nominated for various awards.  Brooke has been a consecutive winner for Female Vocalist of the Year from the IBMA (International Bluegrass Music Association).  They are now nominated for the 2023 Gospel Recording of the Year for “Jordan” and Brooke is nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year once again.  It’s well deserved! Listen and you’ll see.

Here are some of their gospel songs I’m sharing with you.  Some are collaborations with others as noted in the YouTube caption. Enjoy!

Songs:
Jordan – featuring Ricky Skaggs, Mo Pitney and Mark Fain
He’s Getting Me Ready – featuring the Oak Ridge Boys
Sacred Lamb
I’ll Wear a White Robe
When He Calls (no video – just the song)
